TREASURE-HUNTER-C128 Download {Floppy .d64} Commodore C128 ONLY
Treasure-Hunter-C128
This is game status from July 2024, demo version only!

I did some additional levels afterwards, however due to the memory issues which were impacting insuficient memory, i stopped the development completely.
I hope to return one day, but this game is highly complex! A mix of assembly code and compiled BASIC 7.0 code. While memory was causing more and more issues, I ended up deleting comments and now it is a very big bit difficult even for me to understand where things are or were before i left, hehe...

Despite all that, you have a pleasure here to play the early stage first 6 levels with Joystick in PORT 2. It is a tricky game with teleporters, traps, treasures, artifacts and a very interesting story {not a part of this DEMO though!}

It can be that i will finish this one day when i feel really highly motivated!

I had over 30 levels done before memory issues started. 30 levels are actually playable.
Levels were made using the Level Editor i wrote in assembly {not available for download}
I was able to manage at least that before i said good night to this project, hehe...
It looks all different in the meanwhile. Many things were re-arranged and music {effects} were completely rewriten or modified.

Have fun with this DEMO and C128!
It is not like Commodore C128 is having games in masses like Commodore C64.
So i guess this one should entertain you for a couple of minutes or longer, depends on your gaming skills!

Game is loaded with : LOAD "*",8 and then RUN

TED-20 TED-20-Gfx TED-20-1 TED-20-1-Gfx
I made this in May 2024!

The idea was to have a tool for C128 which is going to allow me to create tiles for my Treasure Hunter games. And how things are going, i was busy with one thing and had no time for another. The result was: Tile-Editor-2.0 went to collect some dust.
And then there was a graphics bug which prevent me from showing graphics preview of the created tile.

All is fixed now, incl. new loader {written in BASIC} but it is doing it's job just fine!
Text document is including some instructions and listing of the loader quickly written in BASIC 7.

To start Tile-Editor-2.0, just type RUN "*",8 and the rest will be done automatically.

It is just another DEMO, working now properly, fortunately and i hope!
Have fun creating tiles with C128!

Future plans are probably a change of the direction. Precisely it means NOT to go towards high resolution screen anymore, instead a usage of custom characters is something i would like too see becoming a reality.
Will I have time for this adaptation and modification? NO IDEA!
---
I actually made a TED Designer too!
It is allowing you to create your own interface, graphics elements or however to call it...
For personal usage for now, but maybe I could someday place it here when i ran out of project ideas! Both, TED and TED-Designer were written in assembler using EDASS-128

MULTICOLOR-LINES Download {.txt File}
MCLines-1 MCLines-2
We got several lines with different color and then we can also define how many line groups we want to have,
Now, it is a 1MHz CPU!
Hmmm... Do I need to tell you how 50 groups, pardon me, I mean 5 groups already are 3 too many! Well, well, well... It is a modern world and we can go WARP MODE and see what we never dare to dream 40 years ago!
I made my choice and 5 {FD=5} is so so reasonable with the C128!
If you want more you'll have to adapt the program a little bit!
It looks cool already with 1 group in WARP ON MODE!
I know, nobody is asking me, but too bad Bil Herd didn't put 8502 4MHz CPU inside the C128.
Why?
When you run this program and acceleration speed is set to 400% in VICE, you'll immediately notice what i am thinking and saying!
Back then, that would have been the 8-bit killer of other 8-bit computers!

THE-FACE Download {.txt File}
TheFace TheFace-1 TheFace-2 TheFace-3
The face or beter said faces!

This was just a small experiment and then it worked!
What else to say... Hmmm...
I have a little plan for this, namly to add a small assembly routine which is going to do the multiplier job and makes it be much faster at the same time.
If you watch carefuly the last picture, you will notice faces in three different mood states:

laughing, neutral and smile

Every time you create new faces they won't be positioned the same, ergo it is randomly positioned and, if you ask me, it looks nice.
---
Details about the line 1000 and up. Also line 2000 and up.

RUN 1000 will save the graphic screen to floppy disk {if disk is inserted}
Names are randomly defined!

RUN 2000 will load the previously saved screen {you need to enter name of the file to load}
{REM's must be removed to use it}

Okay, now it is your turn to create some fancy faces...

I bet we all did it... Typed NEW and regret it in less than a second after the pressing ENTER key.
Luckily I found this little Un-NEW, UNDO or OLD! Call it as you wish.
It is out of a computer magazine and in assembler.
I am putting it here because it is effecting BASIC and because I also put together a user friendly BASIC, 1 Line, version.
Now you can bring your C128 BASIC program back and sleep well!
