CASHDOG, Version 1.0.1, 25.03.2026 I just noticed that there was a mistake in attached disk. I mixed up start and main file! Ergo, i had 2x main file on the floppy and nobody could start the game properly {no sprites were visable and some assembler code was missing} I used the moment not to just fix that problem, but have also added a fix for the collisions {to avoid double collision, slide-in call} and have added a couple of more random named for those who are too lazy to write their own "player's" name! And of course a couple of other minor changes. To play this game on Commodore C128, you'll need to have a real Commodore C128 or other computers with installed software which is emulating the Commodore C128 computer and can handle the ***COMAL 80 V2.02 MODULE or also well known as a cartridge {.crt image} which you can download here {as you see}. Real COMAL 80 V2.02 Module is something you'll probably have to burn/make yourself, unless you have old one already from the back in the days. NOTE: CASHDOG V1.0.1 is not Commodore C64 compatible! You can start the game by first inserting the COMAL-80-V2.02 Module, then insert the floppy disk or the disk image CASHDOG-V1.0.1-2026.d71 {in case of the emulation, e.g. VICE} and then type run "*" and press ENTER! ***=this is the latest COMAL-80 version for Commodore c128! An error in RAMFiles was fixed now in March 2026! Imagine that! Thank you ClausS!

BLOAD AND BSAVE {not really that, but close enough} There are a few commands missing in the world of COMAL 80 V2.02 for Commodore C128! Two of these would definitely be the BLOAD and BSAVE commands! That being said, it is interesting how COMAL for C64 is actually having those and how the same modules won't work when used with COMAL for C128! {or we just can't figure out how to do it because a very clear instructions for the COMAL/Commodore C128 aren't really available} Nevermind, this here is actually working pretty well, but there is still some room for optimization which i might add soon {i guess!}. I made it also be COMAL C64 compatible. Really needed it isn't! As said, COMAL C64 {SuperChip-II} already has these commands. What is it good for? Well, in first place to avoid endless DATA lines! It's much easier to just load data into the memory location where you need the instructions, sprite data or even screens etc. Primary i see the usage in loading SPRITES or small supporters in form of short assembly code. {that is why i have limited the size to 1000 Bytes {can be changed. source code is free}. I am actually loading myself a SCREEN CLEAR assembly routine {2760-CLSBOX}. So it is loading to the memory location 2760 {$AC8} and above. This is the most complex routine to clear the screen i ever programmed in assembler, but it is doing the job just fine and fast! Because there is no compiler available, the source code is on the disk! Application is using both screens 40/80. 80-column screen is used to list the directory in READ MODE! No istructions available so far, but it is all pretty much straight forward!

GAMBLER-SOULS-C128 - Version 1.0.5 - FOR COMMODORE C128 After finishing the Commodore C64 version 1.0.0, here we go with the slightly enhanced Commodore C128 version. it will have different difficulty levels and maybe a few other things changed or modified at the beginning. I am thinking about adding a saving posibilities, but am unsure if it's actually needed... hmmm... Already on the first day the main goal was achieved! It is now running in C128 native mode... Still, far away from being finished! UPDATE - 23.04.2026 This project had a small delay, but it is now slowly closing. UPDATE - 26.04.2026 It took less time than i thought it's going to be needed to have a stable version 1.0.5 for the Commodore C128. So it's ready to be downloaded! Enjoy!
